Remarkable Monthly Sales Figures

On Thursday, The Economic Times reported that monthly sales at Apple BKC and Apple Saket exceeded Rs. 22 to 25 crore. Industry insiders say this is more than twice what an Indian electronics shop could make in a year without a major holiday like Diwali.

According to the article, on its first day of business, April 18, Apple BKC, Apple’s premium store in Mumbai’s financial sector, welcomed over 6,000 customers and made sales of more than Rs.10 crore.

A second Apple store, Apple Saket, opened in New Delhi on April 20, and it too had a large number of customers on its first day.

High Revenue Due to Premium Pricing

Apple’s high income from its initial stores in India can be attributable, say industry officials featured in the story, to the premium prices of its products.

Reported Sales figures indicates that SKU average prices of iphone average sales price (ASP) is comparatively higher that leads to generate more revenue as well as the customer footfall at store are quite higher, Store always are filled with customers” They went on to say that the numbers were far above Apple’s projections“.

Customers, Apple lovers, and journalists from all across the country flocked to the opening of Apple’s two new retail outlets in Mumbai and Delhi, which was hosted by Apple CEO Tim Cook.

People lined up early in the morning to be among the first to shop at the new high-end stores. There were even some collectors of vintage Apple gadgets present.

After Apple reported a rise in iPhone sales in its relatively insignificant quarterly earnings report, Cook referred to India as being at a “critical point” earlier this month.

Both locations demonstrated Apple’s commitment to India as a key market for both sales and manufacturing.

State Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar said after the stores opened that Apple might potentially increase its investment by a factor of two or three.

Apple’s Focus on India as an Emerging Market

The establishment of these two stores demonstrates Apple’s commitment to India as a key emerging market and manufacturing centre.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, who opened the stores, called India a “tipping point” for Apple. Apple could expand its investments and exports to India, according to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, minister of state for electronics and information technology.

Significance of Apple’s Expansion in India

The repercussions for Indian consumers of the choice of Apple to enter the market via retail shops are substantial.

Apple’s dedication to the Indian market is highlighted, and product availability is improved. These stores’ openings are a response to the increasing demand for Apple products in India.
